DO ANTS COMMUNICATE?

                                    Ants are social animals that live in colonies and they have a lot to communicate to each other. They use special chemicals to signal information to each other. The worker ants inform each other about the source of food. Soldier ants produce special chemicals called pheromones to attract other soldiers and warn them about any danger to the colony.

              Rajasthani farmers, who have been warned of an imminent attack by swarms of Locusts can take it easy. Prof.H.P.Hepburn and Dr.G.Mitchell of the university of Witwatersrand, South Africa, write that Locusts are a concentrated source of Protein.
