Inside the mother's womb, the baby lies curled up with its eyes closed and fists clenched. When it is born, it stays like that for some time. After birth, the baby is cleaned to remove the waxy layer on it. It is only then that the baby opens its eyes to see the light, because, inside the womb it is dark.
