Evolution is an extremely slow process which cannot be seen. It is only when you compare pre-historic fossils with present day living things that you are able to see a change. The present living things on the earth are also constantly adapting to their surroundings to develop new characteristics. It is true that apes are the ancestors of man. But the process of evolution of man from apes has taken 10 million years. Those who changed have died giving rise to new forms. That is why you cannot see an ape turning into man.
